Mission
At Parivartan, our mission is to enhance the quality of life of persons with mental illness and their families by providing accessible, compassionate, and community-based support. We strive to reduce stigma, promote awareness, and facilitate early intervention through education and outreach.
We are committed to empowering individuals through peer support, skill development, and recreational engagement, enabling them to achieve greater independence and social integration. Through a collaborative Public-Private Partnership approach, we aim to deliver holistic, sustainable, and person-centered care.
Our mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and the opportunity to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Impact
Our work is driven by the belief that meaningful change is reflected not just in numbers, but in lives transformed, dignity restored, and hope renewed. Through our community-based initiatives in Chandigarh, we strive to create lasting and constructive changes in the lives of persons with mental illness and their families.
The Ethos
There are large numbers of persons suffering from mental illness who lack insight and do not feel the need to seek treatment despite being violent and aggressive and other myriad reasons. Family members fail to convince them to seek treatment and come to the hospital. Thus, despite the availability of psychiatric facilities in the city of Chandigarh, there remains a considerable treatment gap. Parivartan has been running CRHT services since the year 2013 to provide treatment and support the persons having mental health issues. All residents of Chandigarh can avail these services who had been taking treatment from Department of Psychiatry, Chandigarh by writing an application or through a call on mobile no. 9888876632. These services are provided to the following category of persons with mental illness.

Specialized Programs
The NGO is dedicated to the rehabilitation and community integration of individuals with mental illness, including those who are challenging to engage. It operates a specialized program aimed at facilitating job placements. Persons with mental illness are offered opportunities for meaningful employment through this program, receiving salaries from NGO ‘Parivartan’.
A Happy Learning Environment
Caregivers experience significant stress and burden while looking after individuals with mental illness and often require support and guidance to manage burnout. Parivartan organizes recreational activities monthly to alleviate burnout among family members and caregivers. These activities take place in group settings on the first Saturday of each month.
