- RECREATIONAL GROUP FOR CAREGIVERS:
Caregivers experience significant stress and burden while looking after individuals with mental illness and often require support and guidance to manage burnout. ‘Parivartan’ organizes recreational activities monthly to alleviate burnout among family members and caregivers. These group activities are held on the first Saturday of each month and are facilitated by Ms. Seema Gupta, Ms. Sunaina Sachdeva and Dr. Anamika. Over the 2024–25 period, a total of 10 such sessions were conducted. The sessions covered a range of topics including Talk Therapy, Be Thankful, Smile a lot ‘It’s free’, Exploring and nurturing hobbies, Memories and conversations, Wellness and selfcare, caregiver burden and coping.
2. PSYCHOEDUCATION SESSIONS FOR CAREGIVERS: Ventilation sessions are held monthly on the first Saturday and are specifically tailored for caregivers who wish to share both positive and negative emotions with trained professionals. Led by Mrs. Gunninder Mohini Lamba, these sessions provide a safe, supportive space for caregivers to openly discuss their experiences, challenges, and emotional struggles related to caregiving. The goal is to help caregivers release built-up emotions, feel validated in their journey, and receive encouragement from both professionals and fellow caregivers. These sessions offer comfort, emotional relief, and guidance in managing the demands of caring for individuals with mental illness.
