Destitute or orphan individuals with mental illness receive free medications, clothing, and essential daily items. Moreover, for those among the destitute or orphan population who lack the capacity to make decisions regarding their mental health and are admitted to the Department of Psychiatry at GMCH, Chandigarh or the Mental Health Institute, a nominated representative is appointed from Parivartan undersection 14 (Chapter IV) of the MHCA-2017.
